The Tastiest Gluten Free Bakeries
in Milan
Hello you Gluten Freebs, as a Celiac gal, I know sharing is caring when it comes to nom-worthy affordable gluten-free finds; so I want to spread the love.
While au pairing in Milan for over a month, I was fortunate to try all of these spots at least twice – to provide a good mouthful of suggestions for you. My guide contains pasticerrias and restaurants that flew under the radar, some that were worth the hype, and where all the gf locals went.
If you find yourself in Milan Italy, or are looking for another reason to go: you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to my guide for the yummiest Gluten Free eats in Milan Italy.
1) Pasticceria Navotti Senza Glutine Milano
Wedged in a small slice of Loretto Milan, right next to a park, is this lovely pastry shop. What I love most about Pasticceria Navotti Senza Glutine Milano is that it’s a hole-in-the wall location. It feels very authentic in the sense that it’s no’t flashy, it lets the charm of its pastries speak for itself.
Though my Italian was rusty, the owners were so friendly, informative, and welcoming every time I stopped by. If you’re hoping to find a more lowkey, under the radar location, this is the spot.
Not only were there large cheesy slices of pizza, but there were also calzones, cookies, and a few other sweet treats to choose from. This is a great bakery to stop at in a pinch!

2) GluFree Bakery
If you’re trying to explore new areas in your city or are traveling abroad, I’d recommend using a gluten-free restaurant finding app. I’ve been using the FIG app, which has been fabulous in helping me find more gluten-free restaurants just like this bakery!
This bakery had a little bit of everything – making it a tourist favorite. Every first-timer that came in was shocked after seeing all the gf goodies in the display case. During my trips there, I tried different flavors of croissants, a cannoli, and a fried cheeseball–and they were all so fluffy and delicious. I seriously had a hard time choosing just a few things to try!
If you wake up late and fear you might have missed the prime time for most bakeries, don’t fret, GluFree Bakery opens up later than most other Milanese bakeries and has so many fluffy, flavorful, gluten free treats for you to try!

– Price – around 2-3 euro per pastry

3) PanPerMe
An authentic- feel bakery, with the ambiance of a true Italian bakery to accompany. PanPerMe was a dedicated gluten-free restaurant that all the locals loved to stop at.
If you’re hoping to sit outside or even indoors on a tree-swing style bench, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a croissant and cappuccino with friends or solo dolo! I tried a few of their pastries including a brownie, chocolate hazelnut muffin, and of course their croissants.
Keep in mind that when you go to most of these pasticcerias, especially this one, you need to ensure you’re there within the first hour of opening. Truthfully, I’d even suggest arriving within the first 30 minutes.
This location gets quite busy and I’d hate for you to find yourself like I did my first go around, with slim pickings and GLUTEN-FREE CROSSIANT-LESS.

4) Officina Zero
Oficina Zero was seriously my favorite pasticceria in Milan Italy–I went there nearly every day. Think of any pastry off the top of your head and Oficina Zero had it– they had freshly baked it earlier that morning. I brought numerous friends there that didn’t have dietary restrictions – and they all loved it.
This is another locals spot, and the perfect stop for a pastry or a quick bite for lunch. It had the biggest pizza slices and calzones! Most importantly, of all the milanese bakeries I’d tried gluten-free croissants at (which were quite a few), Officina Zero had the absolute best. In terms of size, texture, flavor, and all around quality they were– superb. My friends couldn’t tell they were gluten free!
It’s in a great location in Loretto Milan, and around a 10 minute walk from Milano Centrale. If you’re in the area you must try it!

5) Bistró
I saved the best for last. Oh my goodness, I still dream about this restaurant. Everything was certified celiac friendly. There were so many options for lunch and dinner including homemade Italian gluten free pasta, sandwiches, hamburgers with homemade gf buns and so much more.
They also have a bakery in the restaurant with donuts, cheesecake, tiramisu, and a ton of other options for dessert afterwards. I was not just a child in a chocolate factory, no, I was a child in THE chocolate factory.
I was so impressed with how knowledgeable the staff was and the artistry behind the food. Bistró really puts so much love into the process and you can tell and taste it- I’d never felt happier having Celiac. I cannot recommend a restaurant more.
